Cricket Canada have announced that the 2018 Canada CricketFest will be live streamed on CBC Sports streaming network.
2018 CricketFest tournament will be competed by 4 teams, namely Canada’s senior squad, Canada “A” squad, Toronto Bears and West Indies “B” squad. CWI “B” squad were also part of recently concluded GT20 Canada league in Jun/Jul 2018.
Toronto Bears will feature local talent from local leagues in Toronto and Canada “A” will feature U22 players. The tournament will provide ample game-time for Canada players ahead of ICC World T20 Americas group “A” qualifiers in Sep 2018 at North Carolina, USA.
All matches will be held at Maple Leaf ground in King City, Toronto, which was the venue for the inaugural edition of GT20 Canada.

Upon completion of the tournament, CWI “B” will also play two 50-overs matches against Canada on 05th & 07th Sep, 2018 at the same venue.
The team’s have already started playing few warm-up games before the start of the tournament proper. In the first game, Toronto Bears (126 all out in 24.1 overs) beat Canada “A” (107 all out in 24.5 overs) by 19 runs and the Bears (233 all out in 42 overs) also beat Canada senior side (167/7 in 45 overs) in the second game by 66 runs.
