Schedule announced for 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Oman and UAE

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE and Oman will get underway from 17 October, with the Final to be played in Dubai on 14 November and the schedule for both the first round and the Super 12 stages have been announced on 17th August 2021. The tournament is being played at four venues – Dubai International Stadium, Oman Cricket Academy (Muscat), Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium (Abu Dhabi).

Co-host’s Oman will host group B fixtures of the first round involving the host’s, Papua New Guinea, Scotland and Bangladesh, while group A fixtures involving Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Namibia will be played at Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The top two teams in each group will proceed to the Super12 stage of the tournament, beginning on 23 October.

Winners of group A and runners-up of group B will join with Australia, South Africa, West Indies and England in group 1 of Super 12 stage, while runners-up of group A and winners of group B will join with India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan in group 2 of Super 12 stage.

Group A: Sri Lanka, Ireland, the Netherlands and Namibia
Group B: Bangladesh, Scotland, Papua New Guinea and Oman

Group 1: England, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, A1 and B2.
Group 2: India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, A2 and B1.
