Scotland and Oman deliver Box Office Gold on opening day at the T20 World Cup

Chris Greaves delivered the performance of a lifetime as he along with Mark Watt, Josh Davey and Brad Wheal inspire Scotland to a well deserved six-run victory over Bangladesh in their opening match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 at Al Amerat in Oman, which also saw the host nation put up a commanding performance in their opening game against Papua New Guinea in the morning session match via notable performances from Zeeshan Maqsood, Jatinder Singh and Aqib Ilyas.

All the teams get a day-off as the first round fixtures of the other group take place on 18th October 2021 in UAE, followed by the 2nd day’s action from Al Amerat on the 19th. This was only the 2nd ever T20I game that took place between Scotland and Bangladesh and they now have an unbeaten record against the Sub-continent Full member nation.
