As is the customary norm in every ICC marquee event in the recent past, all the competing teams in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup from 17th October 2021 in Oman and United Arab Emirates will play their two (2) official warm-up fixtures before the start of the tournament proper.
The first round of the World Cup will involve Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, Oman, Namibia and Papua New Guinea in two groups of four (4) teams each, taking place at the same time in both Oman and UAE from 17th October 2021. The top two (2) teams from both the groups will advance to the Super12 stage, which will be taking place in UAE. The umpires for each of the warm-up games, along with other match officials have been announced by ICC as well.
