USA Cricket sanctioned domestic T20 franchise-based competition, 2022 Atlanta Open T20, starts from 05th October 2022 at the Atlanta Cricket Fields venue in Cumming. The 16-team competition sees four (4) groups of four (4) teams each, with all teams playing each other in a single round-robin group stage format, following the conclusion of which the top eight (8) teams will advance to the quarterfinals stage.
The winners and runners-up of last year’s edition, Atlanta Lightning and SAMP Army are back in this year’s competition as well, with Minor League franchise Atlanta Fire also looking to challenge for the Title. Florida Scorpions team, which recently participated in a T20 tournament in Canada, have once again got the services of players from Associate member boards of Bermuda (Kamau Leverock and Delray Rawlins), Scotland (Kyle Coetzer) and Canada (Ravinderpal Singh and Saad bin Zafar). Rohan Mustafa from UAE and Adit Gorawara from Hong Kong are also going to compete alongside a big line-up of players from the Caribbean Islands.
