Botswana Cricket announce national contracts for Men’s/Women’s players

In a major move that would make Cricket an Elite sport in Botswana’s Sporting Culture, Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) became the second (2nd) Sports association to announce national contracts for Men’s and Women’s players part of the National squad set-up.

Seven (7) players each in both Men’s and Women’s National squads have been awarded the contracts in three categories based on certain criteria, in a Media announcement that took place on 27th May 2022 and was announced by Sumod Damodar, who is the Vice Chairman of Botswana Cricket Association and also the Chairman of Africa Cricket Association (ACA).

While Botswana Men’s have some time in their hands before their next International assignment with the recently concluded tour to South Africa being the last one, the Women’s team will be seen in action shortly in Rwanda for the eight (8)-nation Kwibuka Memorial WT20I tournament.
