Cricket Scotland and KNCB (Netherlands Cricket Board) will be hosting the Women’s team representing Fairbreak Global in the months of August and September 2022 respectively. Fairbreak Global is a Global entity focusing on creating pathways for women to have better access to opportunities, education and high level performance roles, and has been organizing matches since 2018 for their Women’s team that comprises of players from both Full member countries and Associate member countries, and had recently hosted one of the biggest privately-funded Women’s franchise-based T20 tournament in Dubai.
The Women’s team will be visiting Scotland from August 26th – 28th, and will play two (2) T20 matches with Scotland Women’s national squad at the Grange, Edinburgh. The team will then travel to Netherlands from August 30th – September 02nd, and will play three (3) T20 matches with Netherlands Women’s national squad at VRA ground in Amstelveen. Both players from the Scottish and Dutch national squads took part in the Fairbreak Global tournament in Dubai and these matches will further provide players from other Associate member countries to tour both Scotland and Netherlands, who now also have Women’s ODI status.
