Cricket Namibia (CN) have announced that they will be hosting a T20 tournament at home prior to the Men’s national squad’s departure to Australia to compete in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia. The tournament will be known as Global T20 Namibia and will take place between September 01st – 09th, 2022.
CN will be hosting representative squads from DP World Lions (Cricket South Africa domestic Franchise) and Lahore Qalandars (Pakistan Super League Franchise) in the competition, after another scheduled entry from Bengal (Indian State Team) was denied permission by Indian Cricket Board to participate in the series. The Men’s team will depart for Papua New Guinea for CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series in September 2022 and will travel to Australia post that for the first round of the T20 World Cup.
