Major League Cricket (MLC) will be holding a training camp and series of “Houston Challenge” matches at the MLC National Cricket Center at Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC) near Houston, Texas from March 26th to April 10th, 2022. The Challenge series will consist of matches both in 50-overs and T20 formats and MLC is also hoping to have a USA Cricket representative squad to participate in the matches as well, confirmation for which is currently pending.
The entire schedule will also consist of the 2022 edition of the Houston Open T20 tournament, which is a USA Cricket sanctioned domestic T20 competition and will take place at the same venue from March 30th – April 04th, 2022. The tournament will see sixteen (16) franchise-based clubs participate in the competition and will involve lots of players, who have been part of the Minor League Cricket tournament in 2021 and will also be in action in this years edition of the same from June 25th – August 28th, 2022. The tournament (Houston Open T20) will also have overseas participation from players based in the Caribbean Islands, Canada and Bermuda, much like how it was during the 2021 edition of the tournament.
