Austrian Cricket Association (ACA) will be hosting the Men’s national squad of Hungary for a three (3)-match T20I series at Seebarn Cricket Centre ground from June 04th – 05th, 2022. These fixtures will be the first ones in 2022 for Austria Men’s team, who are also scheduled to travel to Germany after the conclusion of this series for a T20I Tri-series involving the host’s and Sweden.
The Bi-lateral series between Hungary and Austria is part of the preparations for both the camps ahead of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe sub-regional qualifiers in June/July 2022. Hungary will travel to Belgium for their sub-regional qualifier from 28th June, while Austria will travel to Finland to take part in their sub-regional qualifier from 24th July.
Hungary have already played T20Is this year, when they travelled to Malta for the 6-nation Valletta Cup tournament, where they finished 4th in the points table and registered three (3) wins in their five (5) matches.
