Kenya International and domestic players are set to compete in the Swaminarayan Pro T20 competition from October 29th – 12th November, 2022 at Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj gronds in Langata, Nairobi. The inaugural edition of the tournament will see six (6) teams (Hari Om Titans, Mahadev Strikers, Mafuko Mavericks, Purple Dot Ndovus, Play Master Warriors and Mombasa Cement Giant) compete for the title. The tournament will prepare Kenya players for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa sub-regional qualifier in Rwanda in November/December 2022.
The organizers have also roped in former International players such as Richard Levi, Thisara Perera, Kevin O’Brien, Owais Shah, Dwayne Smith and Elton Chigumbura for the event as “Star” category players in each of the six teams, and current Uganda Internationals Riazat Ali Shah and Dinesh Nakrani are also going to compete in the tournament. Kenya Internationals Rakep Patel, Rushabvardhan Patel, Dhiren Gondaria, Shem Ngoche, Sachin Bhudia and Nelson Odhiambo have been appointed as the Captains for the six franchises mentioned above in the same order.
