Kuwait Cricket (KCC) are hosting the 2nd edition of Men’s domestic T20 Elite league tournament (KCC T20 Championship) at Sulaibiya Cricket Ground from December 2022 until February 2023. The eleven (11) team tournament will feature teams representing Al Hajery, Ceylinco Express CC, Desert Raiders, Royal Kings, Saipem, Kuwait Swedish, NCM Investment, Panthers Dominators Kuwait, Stack CC, Ecovert FM and Young Srilanka Sports Club. Kuwait Swedish are the defending Champions from the inaugural edition held in October 2022, in which they won the Final against NCM Investment.
The tournament is crucial for the players, as Kuwait National Head Coach Muthumudalige Pushpakumara will look to spot good performances from domestic players ahead of future International tournaments in 2023, that includes Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and International Cricket Council (ICC) events in 50-overs and 20-overs formats. All teams will play each other in a single round-robin group stage format, following which the knock-out stages of the competition will be held.
