Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) will be hosting the Men’s and Women’s teams of Malaysia for the Stan Nagaiah Trophy and Saudari Cup series respectively in June and July 2022. The Stan Nagaiah Trophy was last played in 2018 and has been played in the 50-overs format before and will be played in the T20I format in 2022, while the Saudari Cup WT20I series was last played in 2019 between the Women’s teams.
The Stan Nagaiah Cup will provide adequate preparations for both Men’s teams of Singapore and Malaysia respectively. Singapore Men’s squad will be travelling to Zimbabwe to take part in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Global qualifier B event in July 2022, while Malaysia Men’s team will be playing in a T20I quadrangular series at home in July 2022. Both Malaysia Women and Singapore Women have been in action recently in the ACC Women’s T20I Championship event in Kuala Lumpur, which is acting as a pathway event for qualification into the main draw of 2022 ACC Women’s Asia Cup in Bangladesh.
