Cricket Canada (CC) are organizing the Women’s National Big Bash tournament from August 04th – 07th, 2023 at Maple Leaf Cricket fields in King City, in which the team of St. Louis Americans are taking part in and features several USA Women’s National squad members in their squad. A total of eight (8) teams are competing in the tournament, which will see two (2) groups of four (4) teams playing each other in a single round-robin group stage format, followed by the semifinals and Final.
With the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas qualifier scheduled to take place in USA in September 2023, this tournament provides opportunities for both Canadian National squad members and the travelling USA players to get much needed game-time in the middle, before both the National squads compete with teams from Brazil and Argentina for one qualification spot into the Global qualifier.
