Cricket Kenya (CK) will be hosting the Men’s Continent Cup T20 – Africa tournament from June 09th – 21st, 2023 at the Nairobi Gymkhana ground in Nairobi. Men’s National teams from Kenya, Uganda, Botswana and Rwanda will be competing in a triple round-robin group stage format, followed by the Finale.
The Tournament adds to the already increasing amount of T20 Internationals being played in the region through ICC regional qualification pathway events towards Men’s T20 World Cup and ACA (Africa Cricket Association) T20 Africa Cup pathway events, which only bodes well for the growth of the sport in the African region. All the teams competing in this tournament are the next tier of African nations, who are just placed behind the countries of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, who are the three nations with ODI status right now.
