The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Player Auction list is out with a total of 405 players (273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players), of which 4 players are from associate nations. The total capped players are 119, uncapped players are 282 and 4 from associate nations.
There are four (4) players in total from Associate member countries of Namibia, Netherlands and United Arab Emirates. Players from Namibia include Ruben Trumpelmann and David Weise, while Karthik Meiyappan from UAE and Paul van Meekeren from Netherlands also feature in the final list. Both Meiyappan and van Meekeren had a good outing for their respective countries in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, while Ruben and David make it to the final list of players for the second year in succession, and will be hoping to get picked up by a franchise this time around.
