Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) will be hosting both Men’s and Women’s editions of Waterfalls Elite League T20 (Waterfalls T20) tournaments from January 19th – 29th, 2023. The Women’s competition will take place from January 19th – 22nd, while the Men’s competition will take place from January 26th – 29th at the Lugogo Oval ground. Both the competition will have three (3) franchise teams compete for the title, with player participation from overseas also being confirmed for the events.
The Men’s and Women’s competition will see teams from Sipi Trekkers, Itanda Kayakers and Bujjagali Rafters compete for the title. The Women’s squads also include players from Kenya (Veronica Abuga and Vanessa Adhiambo) and Rwanda (Diane Bimenyimana and Sarah Uwera). The Men’s squads has overseas participation from Malawi (Sami Sohail, Blessings Pondani and Donnex Kansonkho), Botswana (Karabo Motlhanka) and Rwanda (Ignace Ntirenganya, Orchide Tuyisenge and Kevin Irakoze).
