22 Yards Cricket Club and USA Cricket have got the ICC sanction to host the 3rd edition of Unity Cup T20 tournament in Washington DC area from May 22nd – 29th, 2023 at the venues of Bolen Park and Hanson Park Cricket fields. The tournament will have the sixteen (16) teams divided into four (4) groups and will play their round-robin group stage matches, before the knock-out stages of the competition. SAMP Army cricket franchise, who compete in most of the franchise T20 league held across the US and International T10 leagues (Abu Dhabi T10), are the defending Champions from the 2nd edition of the tournament held last year in May.
The tournament will see a lot of familiar names from Associate member countries taking part, that includes the likes of Rohan Mustafa, Basil Hameed, Akif Raja, CP Rizwan (UAE), Gerhard Erasmus (Namibia), Saad bin Zafar, Rayyan Pathan, Nikhil Dutta, Ravinderpal Singh, Jeremy Gordon (Canada), Aizaz Khan (Hong Kong), Daniel Dayle-Calle (Spain), Kamau Leverock (Bermuda) and others from Full member countries like Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies, playing alongside all the members of USA Men’s National squad.
