Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) will be hosting the 2024 ICC U19 Men’s World Cup Asia Division 1 qualifier at Ajman from February 24th – March 02nd, 2023, in which U19 National teams from UAE, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Kuwait and Hong Kong will be competing for the lone qualification spot into the main draw of the 2024 event. While UAE are the current winners of the Plate Championship from the 2022 edition of the World Cup, Nepal, Kuwait and Malaysia have been directly placed in Division 1 based on their previous performances in qualifiers, while Singapore and Hong Kong have qualified from the Division 2 tournament held in Oman in September/October 2022.

Three (3) games will be played in each of the match-days during the competition, with Malek ground ovals 1 and 2 and Eden gardens oval to host the matches in Ajman at 9am local time start. Some of the teams have already lined-up practice games before the start of the tournament, with Hong Kong U19 heading to Oman for a bi-lateral series, while Malaysia U19 heading to Sri Lanka for a preparation camp involving nine (9) practice games. The host’s U19 team have already played a bi-lateral series with England U19 team back in December 2022, and have played practice games with Singapore U19 team in Ajman in February 2023.
