Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) and Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) have been awarded the hosting rights for the expanded qualification pathway towards 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, that will include both sub-regional (Division 2) and Regional Finals events in September and December 2023. Botswana Cricket will be hosting the Division 2 qualifier from September 02nd – 08th, 2023, where Women’s National squads from Sierra Leone, Botswana, Cameroon, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique will be competing for the two (2) qualification spots into the Regional Finals. Uganda Cricket will be hosting the Finals from December 09th – 17th, 2023, where the two (2) Division 2 qualifiers will join with Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe, and the eight (8) team event thereafter will see the top two (2) teams qualify for the Global qualifiers next year.
