Jersey Cricket Board (JCB) and Cricket Espana (Spain) have been awarded the hosting rights for the expanded qualification pathway towards 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, that will include both sub-regional (Division 2) and Regional Finals events in May/June and September 2023. Jersey Cricket will be hosting the Division 2 qualifier from 29th May – 02nd June, 2023, where Women’s National squads from France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Turkey and Jersey will be competing for the two (2) qualification spots into the Regional Finals.
Spain Cricket will be hosting the Finals from September 06th – 12th, 2023 at Desert Springs cricket ground, where the two (2) Division 2 qualifiers will join with Netherlands and Scotland, and the four (4) team event thereafter will see the top two (2) teams qualify for the Global qualifiers next year. This is an expanded version of the qualification pathway for the European region, and will see Women’s teams from Sweden, Jersey, Turkey and Italy make their debut appearance in an ICC qualification pathway event. France and Germany have made their appearance in the previous edition of the European qualifiers held in Spain in August 2021.
