Cricket Argentina (CA) and Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) have been awarded the hosting rights by International Cricket Council (ICC) for the ICC Americas sub-regional qualifier and Americas Finals towards qualification for 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA. Cricket Argentina will be hosting the sub-regional qualifier from February 25th – March 04th, 2023, where teams from Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Panama, Bermuda and the host’s (Brazil and Belize have withdrawn from participation) will compete to stake claim on the three (3) qualification spots into the Americas Finals.
The Americas Finals will be hosted by BCB from September 28th – October 08th, 2023, where the three (3) qualifiers (Bermuda, Panama and Cayman Islands) will compete with Canada (USA have qualified directly for the event as the host nation) for the lone qualification spot into the main draw of the T20 World Cup. This will be the second (2nd) time that BCB will be hosting the Finals event, after their previous hosting of the event back in 2019, where the National squad claimed one of the two (2) qualification spots into the Global qualifier in UAE.
