ICC Europe have announced that Cricket Finland (CF) and Belgium Cricket Federation (BCF) will be hosting the sub-regional qualification tournaments for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in USA and the West Indies. Belgium Cricket Federation (BCF) will be hosting Qualifier “C” from 28th June – 04th July, 2022 and Cricket Finland (CF) will be hosting Qualifier “A” from July 12th – 19th, 2022 & Qualifier “B” from July 24th – 31st, 2022.
The host nation for the Regional final is not yet been finalized. Both Finland and Belgium were scheduled to host the sub-regional qualifiers for the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia in 2021, but were cancelled owing to COVID-19 pandemic, thus dashing the hopes for 21 Associate member countries (24 were scheduled to take part with Italy, Germany and Denmark getting automatic passage with the events getting cancelled) to try and qualify for the regional finals in Spain. The winners of the three (3) sub-regional qualifiers this year will advance to Europe Finals in 2023, where Germany is already placed and Jersey will also join (if they fail to qualify from the 2022 Global qualifier B in Zimbabwe in July 2022). The Top two (2) teams from the Finals will qualify for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA.
