Four spots from Global Qualifiers into 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup

The qualification pathway for the fourteen (14)-team ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 was confirmed by International Cricket Council (ICC) with ten (10) teams gaining automatic qualification. The ten (10) will comprise South Africa and Zimbabwe as Full Member host’s and the next eight (8) highest ranked teams on the ICC MRF Tyres ODI Rankings on a date to be confirmed. The remaining four (4) teams will qualify via the ICC CWC Global Qualifier, which might see Namibia Men qualify to play in, who are also co-hosting the event along with South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The top four (4) teams from League 2 will qualify directly for the World Cup Qualifier. They will be joined in the Qualifier by four (4) teams coming through the Qualifier Play-Offs as well as teams that don’t qualify automatically based on ICC ODI Rankings. The top four (4) teams in the Qualifier will join ten (10) direct qualifiers in the World Cup. Co-hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe and the other top eight ranked teams will complete the fourteen (14) team World Cup lineup.

      Qatar Men’s team will be in action in December 2022 first week in Malaysia in final round of CWC Challenge League A group.

      Nothing will be announced before ICC officially announces the start of the next cycle of events towards qualification for 2027 World Cup. have to wait at-least until the end of this years WCQ in Zimbabwe or ICC annual general meeting.
