PNG, Ireland, Netherlands, Oman & Namibia through to play-off’s

As the dust settles after the whirlwind week of non-stop group stage action from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the pre-tournament favourites to make it through to the play-off stages of the event are surely getting their foot in the corridor.

Papua New Guinea, Netherlands, Ireland, Oman and Namibia have so far ensured their safe passage to the play-off stages of the tournament, with the final day of group stage matches set to decide the remaining 3 team’s into the play-off’s and also the top team’s from each group, who will secure their spots directly in the main draw of 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia.

However, for the likes of Bermuda and Singapore, their campaign ended after they lost their final group stage matches. Singapore would be disappointed for not having capitalised on the start they had at the opening stages of the tournament, but will return home with their heads held high for competing at the top level of Associate cricket.
