For Cricket Switzerland, it’s players selected in the squads and for the scenic St. Moritz, its literally the “Icing on top of Ice” as World Cricket Legends descend in the Swiss Alps on February 8, as Sehwag XI takes on Afridi XI in two T20 matches.
An artificial turf carpet will be used for the matches, which will be played on a frozen snow-covered lake. The matches will be played with a red-ball and not the traditional white-ball for limited overs matches played across the globe.
For Swiss players, Aidan Andrews and Rohain Jain, it will be an opportunity of a lifetime as they get to interact and play alongside some of the greatest cricketers of all times. The event is approved by International Cricket Council (ICC). Aidan plays for Cossonay CC in Switzerland domestic competitions while Rohain represents Gingins Cricket Club.
