Lagos is all set to host an ICC event in a historic moment for Cricket in Nigeria. Technical assistant, Makhaya Ntini and Head coach were seen giving last minute pep talk to Nigeria national squad members before the start of the proper tournament.
Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) will host the ICC Western Africa Sub-Regional T20 Qualifying Tournament from Apr 12th – 22nd, 2018 at Tafawa Balewa Cricket Oval, Lagos. Nigeria will host teams from Ghana, Sierra Leone and Gambia in the 4-nation event, from which the top 2 teams will advance to the Africa regional finals.

President of Nigeria Cricket Federation, Prof. Yahaya Adams Ukuenya welcomed the teams from Gambia, Ghana and Sierra Leone and wished them all the best for the tournament starting from 14th Apr 2018. ICC representative lauded the work done by Nigeria Cricket Federation towards organising the tournament.

14th April – 9:30am Nigeria vs Sierra Leone ; 1:50pm Ghana vs Gambia
15th April – 9:30am Gambia vs Nigeria ; 1:50pm Sierra Leone vs Ghana
17th April – 9:30am Gambia vs Sierra Leone ; 1:50pm Nigeria vs Ghana
18th April – 9:30am Gambia vs Ghana ; 1:50pm Sierra Leone vs Nigeria

Cricket Botswana and Rwanda Cricket will be hosting the Eastern and Southern African sub-regionals from which the top 2 will again join the top 2 from Nigeria event to form the Africa regional finals.
