Ukraine crowned 2018 Central European T20 Cup champions

Ukraine have won the 2018 Central European T20 Cup played at Gminny Ośrodek sports & recreation ground in Stare Babice, Warsaw, Poland from Jul 12th – 15th, 2018. Ukraine competed against host’s Poland, Switzerland & Hungary in the 3rd edition of the tournament.

While Ukraine prevailed over Hungary in a tense match for the championship, the 3rd/4th play-off match between Poland and Switzerland was abandoned due to rain. Switzerland will consider themselves unlucky to have finished 3rd overall in the tournament after their final group match against Hungary was also abandoned due to rains.

Host’s Poland, thus failed to win the title for the third consecutive time as Ukraine proved too strong for the other team’s in the tournament.
