Gambia Cricket Association (GCA) Men’s national squad will be travelling to Kigali, Rwanda to take part in the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa sub-regional qualifier B group tournament from December 01st – 09th, 2022. Gambia Men’s team will be playing against Cameroon, Mozambique, Nigeria, Eswatini, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Tanzania for two (2) qualification spots into the Africa Finals next year in Namibia.
The squad was selected after a preliminary group of twenty seven (27) players were chosen for National trials based on their performances in the domestic T20 tournament held from May – October 2022, with eight (8) domestic clubs competing for the Title. The National squad will making their debut in T20 Internationals (with ranking points) during the qualifier in Rwanda, with their previous International matches coming during the 2018 ICC Africa sub-regional qualifier and ACA Africa T20 regional qualifiers.
