Oman Cricket (OC) will be hosting the Women’s National teams of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait for the 2nd edition of the GCC Women’s T20I Championship (with ICC team ranking points) from December 13th – 18th, 2025 at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman Cricket (Turf 1 and 2) in Al Amerat. All the teams will be playing each other in a single round-robin group stage format, and the team finishing at the top of the table will be the winner of the trophy.
UAE Women are the Defending Champions from the inaugural edition held in Oman in March 2022, and are coming off on the back of a very successful campaign in the recently concluded ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy in Thailand, and will be favorites to defend their Title. Oman Women, who finished as runners-up in the inaugural edition, hosted Bahrain and Qatar Women for a Tri-series tournament before the start of this event, as preparations towards the GCC tournament.

It gave us the match exposure we needed at the right stage of our preparation. We’ve really emphasized getting the girls much fitter, and their commitment has been excellent. I’m confident they can perform to their level best at home and make the country proud.”
