Guernsey Cricket will be hosting the Men’s National team of Papua New Guinea (PNG) from August 14th – 17th, 2025 for a bi-lateral series comprising of a one-off T20 International game (with ICC team ranking points) and two (2) games in the One-day format (50-overs). The series is part of PNG team’s final preparations, before they compete in the 2nd round of 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) Challenge League Group A in Jersey, starting 21st August 2025.
The T20I between the two (2) teams will be the first-ever meeting in the shortest white-ball format, and it will also provide the opportunity for the first time for Guernsey Men’s team to play against a Nation outside of their European region. Guernsey Men will come into the One-day series with competitive game-time in the 50-overs format, with the Annual Inter-Insular trophy game against their Channel Island neighbors, Jersey, set to take place on 09th August 2025.
