Cricket Namibia have announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup qualifiers, to be held in UAE from Oct 18th – Nov 02nd, 2019.
Namibia are grouped alongside Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Bermuda, Singapore and Kenya in Group A in the Qualifiers. The top team from each group will advance to the semi-final of the tournament whilst securing direct qualification to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020, with three more teams from each group featuring in qualification play-offs to determine the other four qualifiers.
Namibia national squad have had a busy few weeks now in the past 2-3 months, hosting South African franchise Multiply Titans and Botswana at home, before taking part in CWC League 2 tournament in USA. They will face Hong Kong and Nigeria in the official warm-up games on Oct 14th & 15th, before the start of tournament proper from Oct 18th.
