ICC Global Development squad head to Australia to play against WBBL teams

Following the success of the first Women’s Global Development Squad (WGDS) tour of UK in Jul 2018, where they got to play T20 matches as part of warm-up schedule for KIA Super League franchise squads, the 2nd batch of the WGDS is all set to embark on their next destination, Australia.

The squad, consisting of players from Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Thailand, Vanuatu and Zimbabwe, will play a total of five matches against the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) franchise teams, Brisbane Heat, Hurricane Hobarts and Sydney Thunder, from Nov 19th – 23rd.

Scotland’s Steven Knox has been appointed as Head Coach of the team.

Nannapat Koncharoenkrai, Nattakan Chantham, Nattaya Boochatham (all Thailand), Ravini Oa, Veru Frank, Kaia Arua (all Papua New Guinea), Chipo Tiripani, Modester Mupachikwa (both Zimbabwe), Sterre Kalis (Netherlands), Priyanaz Chatterji (Scotland), Selina Solman (Vanuatu) & Mikayla Hinkley (Local selection, Australia)

19 Nov 2018: WGDS v Sydney Thunder at Blacktown International Sports Park 1, Sydney @2pm

21st Nov 2018: WGDS v Brisbane Heat at Blacktown International Sports Park 1, Sydney @10am

22nd Nov 2018: WGDS v Hobart Hurricanes at Dalton Park, Wollongong @10am

23rd Nov 2018: WGDS v Hobart Hurricanes at Blacktown International Sports Park 2, Sydney @10am
