All squads are in for the battle for Europe in T20I regional finals

International Cricket Council (ICC) have announced the schedule for the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup Europe regional finals, to be hosted by Guernsey Cricket from Jun 13th – 21st, 2019.

Guernsey will be competing along with Jersey, Italy, Denmark, Norway and Germany in the 6-nation tournament for one qualification spot into the global qualifiers, to be held in Oct/Nov 2019 in UAE. All matches in the tournament will be played with official T20I status and will take place at KGV Playing Fields and College Field grounds. Match results will count towards global ICC T20I team rankings.

Italy made their Men’s T20I team debut’s in May 2019 when they played Germany in a 3-match T20I series in Netherlands (Germany made their debut in Belgium 2-weeks prior to travelling to Netherlands, where they play the host’s in a 3-match T20I series).

Jersey and Guernsey play a 3-match T20I Inter-Insular series to prepare themselves for the qualifiers. Denmark travelled to Leinster, Ireland and played their development team in a T20 series in May 2019 to try out few new faces in the squad before the qualifiers.

All matches in the Europe regional finals will be live-streamed on ICC’s Facebook and YouTube platforms.
