Mixed Results on opening day of T20 World Cup Qualifiers Warm-Up

The opening day of action in the first round of official warm-up matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup qualifiers saw a mixed bag of results. While 5 of the 14 teams managed to post a 150+ total on board, the remaining teams struggled to keep the flow of wickets to the minimum.

Even the team’s registering the high scores had their good share of wickets fall as well, with bowlers from all the participation nations having a good work-out on the tracks across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. With no restrictions on players taking part in the game, most of the teams gave their full bowling line-up the go during the games.

The not “so-much” expected result came from UAE, who registered a comfortable win over Scotland. Hong Kong and Jersey also won their games against more fancied opponents in Namibia and Kenya respectively.
