Hong Kong look to regain momentum in Challenge League in Oman

Hong Kong men’s national squad has been through a time of turmoil. With many senior members of the squad not part of the thick of things anymore, a much younger squad with an equally experienced captain, have now gone through tough outings in the 5-nation T20I series in Oman, Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in UAE and Emerging Asia Cup in Bangladesh.

However, with experience of having played in Oman and having played 50-overs matches during the Emerging Asia Cup, the squad is leaving early for Oman to prepare themselves for the 6-nation List-A World Cup qualification pathway tournament. The stakes are high, as only the top team in the group advances to the next stage of qualification tournament.

Hong Kong will be competing against Kenya, Uganda, Jersey, Italy and Bermuda in Group B of Challenge League. With National unrest in the country, they already lost their chance of hosting the event.
