Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) have announced the squad and schedule for their upcoming 13-day tour of Sierra Leone from Nov 28th – Dec 10th, 2019. All matches will be played at the Prince of Wales Grounds in Freetown.
The tour of Sierra Leone will complete the MCC overseas programme for 2019, having toured Costa Rica & Mexico and the recently concluded Legacy Tour in Nepal. The 2020 programme includes tour of Argentina in Jan 2020. This will be the first tour MCC will undertake after a long gap of over a decade, with their last visit to the country in 2003.
The tour will provide the senior squad of Sierra Leone good preparations, as they look forward to African sub-regional ICC tournaments in 2020 for 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup qualification.
