Scotland and the United Arab Emirates will travel to the United States for a series of six One Day Internationals in Round 6 of CWC League 2 Championship, to be played at Broward County Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from Apr 01st – 08th, 2020. This will be the 2nd set of Tri-series in the Championship to be hosted by USA Cricket, after they hosted Namibia and Papua New Guinea in Sep 2019.
All the matches in the series will begin at 10am local time. Scotland have played 8 games so far in the League 2 Championship with 4 wins to their name, while UAE have played 7 games in the Championship with 3 wins to their credit. USA are currently on tour of Nepal, taking part in Round 5 of the Championship along with Oman.
After the 21 tri-series have been completed the top three teams will confirm their place in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022. The bottom four teams will drop into the Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-Off 2022 – which is a repechage event to the Global Qualifier – and will be joined by the winner of Challenge League A and B. The top two teams from the Play-Off will keep their hopes alive of participating in India 2023, by qualifying for the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022.
