Domestic cricket has resumed in the southwestern pacific nation of Papua New Guinea (PNG), with the Boroko Challenge Shield Cup matches from October 19th – 22nd to prepare the national players ahead of their tour to Namibia in November 2022 for the CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series involving the host’s and the USA. The team hosted both the above mentioned countries at home few months earlier in the League 2 series, and also travelled to Australia to take part in a T20 competition involving academy teams of Big Bash League (BBL) franchises and hence, have been playing top-tier cricket for a while now.
