France announce senior men’s and women’s squads for 2021 International events

France Cricket have announced the senior men’s and women’s squads for the 2021 International events. While the Women’s squad will be making their maiden appearance in an ICC event during the Women’s T20 World Cup Europe regional qualifiers in Scotland in August 2021, the Men’s squad will be playing a 4-nation T20I series in Germany, followed by the Men’s T20 World Cup Europe sub-regional qualifiers in Finland.

France Women will be competing against Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Germany and Turkey in the 6-nation tournament, from which the top team will qualify for the global qualifiers, and there will be opportunity for the team finishing second as well, as the final position in the 8-nation global qualifiers will be filled by the highest ranked team in the regional qualifiers on the November cut-off date, who missed out on topping their regional event table.

Lara Armas, Sabine Baron, Emmanuelle Brelivet, Cindy Breteche, Tara Britton, Ali Brodin, Maelle Cargouet, Emma Chance, Thea Graham, Jennifer King, Louise Lestavel, Sabine Lieury, Magali Marchello, Sophie Pecaud, Beatrice Pierre, Tracy Rodriguez, Marie Violleau and Irma Vrignaud

France Men will compete against Germany, Spain and Norway in the quadrangular series from May 13th – 16th, before travelling to Finland to take part in the sub-regional qualifiers, where they will face Bulgaria, Cyprus, Israel, Italy, Malta, Norway and Spain from 08th – 13th July 2021, from which the top team will qualify for Europe regional finals in Spain.
