Belgium Cricket Federation (BCF) have announced that they will be touring Malta to play a 5-match bi-lateral T20I series against their men’s team in July 2021. Both Belgium (Men’s T20I Team rank 43rd) and Malta (Men’s T20I Team rank 58th) have re-arranged the postponed tour, which was originally scheduled in April 2021, when Malta national squad were expected to tour Belgium for a 4-match series.
The five T20I matches will be played at the Marsa Sports Complex ground from July 08th – 11th, 2021. Malta Cricket are currently hosting a European Cricket Series (ECS T10) event at the same venue in collaboration with European Cricket Network (ECN). All the matches will be live streamed on the European Cricket Network (ecn.cricket) website.
Belgium were scheduled to host team’s from Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Isle of Man, Portugal, Romania and Serbia in Europe Qualifier C from 05th – 10th July 2021, but the event was cancelled by International Cricket Council (ICC) owing to COVID-19 pandemic.
