Nepal men’s squad announced for Oman tour in September 2021

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have announced their 17-member men’s squad for the upcoming tour of Oman, where they will take part in the CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series with the host’s and USA from September 13th – 20th, 2021, which will mark the dawn of a new era in Nepali Cricket, after the sudden retirement announcement made by stalwart Paras Khadka on 03rd August.

Nepal is also going to play two (2) ODI matches against Papua New Guinea before the scheduled CWC League 2 competition, which is a qualification pathway program towards 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup in India.

Nepal’s last International assignment came at home this year, when they hosted Netherlands and Malaysia in a T20I Tri-series. Due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the players haven’t been able to play any domestic cricket off-late and the League 2 ODI series will come as a good news for both the players and head coach, Dav Whatmore.
