Cricket Namibia (CN) will be hosting the Men’s “A” squad from Zimbabwe in a 6-match Castle Lite series from August 14th – 22nd, 2021 at Wanderers cricket ground in Windhoek. The series will comprise of three matches each in both T20 and 50-overs format, as Namibian national squad players continue preparations for their campaign in 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman in October/November 2021.
Namibia had hosted National team from Uganda and Emerging team from South Africa in April/May this year, but stricter COVID-19 pandemic related restrictions meant that they could not travel to Scotland in June to play in a scheduled (now postponed to 2022) CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series. Cricket Namibia have also planned series against South African domestic franchises Titans and Knights in August and September, post the completion of the Zimbabwe series, before flying out to UAE for the T20 World Cup.
The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) will live broadcast all the games from the series for TV viewership (channel 283).
