In a major move to boost their preparations for the marquee event, Cricket Scotland have appointed former England International Jonathan Trott as batting consultant for the entire duration of the tournament. Scotland are in the first round group set to take place in Al Amerat in Oman, and involves the host’s, Papua New Guinea and Bangladesh, from which the top 2 teams will advance to the Super12 stage of the tournament.
