Oman Cricket (OC) will host men’s national squads from Ireland, Nepal and United Arab Emirates in a 4-nation T20I quadrangular series at Al Amerat from February 11th – 14th, 2022 as part of the preparations for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Global qualifiers from February 15th – 25th. Ireland, United Arab Emirates and Nepal boards have already announced their respective men’s squads for the trip to Muscat for the 8-nation tournament, from which the top 2 teams will advance to the first round of T20 World Cup in October 2022 in Australia.
UAE team will be in Oman from 03rd February, as they will play a 3-match ODI series against the host’s as part of the CWC League 2 competition. While Oman and Ireland have played T20Is during October/December period, this quadrangular series will be the first time UAE will be seen in action in T20Is after the first week of October 2021, while Nepal’s matches will be their first ones since hosting a 3-nation Tri-series at home in April 2021.
Oman Cricket have partnered with ITW ProdG as its Commercial and Broadcasting partner for the upcoming quadrangular T20 series, which will see Wolf News as presenting partner and SKY247.net as the Powered By partner, with TVS, SAT Sport and Fairplay News as the other Associate Sponsors. ITW has partnered with various TV channels, that includes live broadcast on Eurosports in India, Geo Sports in Pakistan, Himalaya TV in Nepal, Next TV in USA. The tournament will be available for streaming on digital mediums as well, that includes Fancode in India, OSR Sports (YouTube) in Nepal, CrickTracker in Rest of World & on Sports Eye (Facebook).
