Austria Women’s National squad captain Andrea-Mae Zepeda and Oman Men’s National squad captain Zeeshan Maqsood have been adjudged as the 2021 ICC Associate Player of the Year in the Women’s and Men’s categories by International Cricket Council (ICC).
Zeeshan Maqsood finished 2021 with 316 runs to his name at an average of 31.60 and 21 wickets at 18.80 across 13 international matches in both T20I and ODI formats. Maqsood’s notable performances in the year came up against PNG, registering four wickets against them twice this year, one in an ODI and the other one in at the T20 World Cup. Mary-Ann Zepeda had a great year for the Austrians, scoring 361 runs in eight T20Is at an average of 51.57 and strike-rate of 102.55, that included a century and two fifties against Belgium Women.
