Lancashire Cricket’s Lightning (Men’s) team and Thunder (Women’s) team will tour United Arab Emirates on their pre-season tour in the month of March 2022. Both the teams will train and play at the ICC Academy, along with T20 matches at The Sevens Stadium, which is the first joint Men’s and Women’s tour ever undertaken by a first-class county.
The Thunder team will play three (3) matches against UAE Women’s team on March 11th and 12th, while the Men’s team will play against UAE Men’s team in a T20 game on March 11th and a 2-day game on March 18th & 19th, 2022. With UAE Men’s team set to be involved in a CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series with Men’s teams from Nepal and Papua New Guinea (PNG) from March 15th – 22nd, in all possibility Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) will be fielding a development squad in the matches scheduled against Lancashire Lightning. Some of the matches during the tour will be live streamed and more details around the same will be announced shortly.
