Schedule announced for CWC League 2 round in UAE between Oman, PNG and Scotland

International Cricket Council (ICC) have announced the schedule for the upcoming ODI Tri-series round in the CWC League 2 Championships, set to take place in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 09th – 16th, and will involve Men’s teams from Scotland, Oman and Papua New Guinea (PNG). The ODI Tri-series, scheduled to take place in PNG was moved to UAE owing to COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Pacific island.

Oman have played a majority of their games in their scheduled 36 ODIs in the League 2 Championships, and are comfortable placed at the top spot in the points table at the moment. For Scotland, it will be a restart of sorts, having played their last League 2 matches back in 2021. Oman have hosted rounds of League 2 series in 2021/2022 and played in UAE in March 2022, while PNG also will be taking part in a series in March 2022, before coming back again in April after conclusion of their Nepal tour.
