International Cricket Council (ICC) have announced the schedule for Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in Bangladesh, which will take place from October 03rd – 20th, with twenty-three (23) matches in total taking place at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka and the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. Group A will feature teams from Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka (Qualifier 1 from Global Qualifier), with matches taking place in Sylhet. Whilst Group B will comprise of teams from hosts Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland (Qualifier 2 from Global Qualifier) , with their matches taking place in Dhaka.
The top two (2) teams from Group A and Group B will qualify for the semi-finals after the conclusion of the single round-robin group stage format, scheduled for 17th October in Sylhet and 18th October in Dhaka. The T20 World Cup champions will be crowned at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on 20th October. As is the norm in ICC events, all the ten (10) teams will be playing two (2) official warm-up matches before the start of the tournament proper on 03rd October.
