Singapore and PNG Men’s team to play T20I series prior to Global qualifier

Men’s teams representing Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) and Cricket Papua New Guinea (CPNG) will be competing in a 4-match T20I series to be known as Singa Championship series from July 02nd – 06, 2022 and at the completion of which will travel to Zimbabwe to take part in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20I World Cup Global qualifier B starting 11th July 2022.

Singapore Men’s team will also be playing a 3-match T20I series with the visiting Malaysian team from June 28th – 30th, as preparations intensify before the qualifiers. The team has been playing a series of matches in both 50-overs and T20 format against a select XI squad from Pakistan comprising of First-Class/List-A players in the month of June 2022. Papua New Guinea players have played in the recently concluded domestic T20 competition at home and will be back in International action after their previous assignment earlier this year in Nepal.
